Aanpak seksuele uitbuiting vraagt om brede benadering
Het boek Human Trafficking and Sexual Exploitation around the World: Law, Ideology, and the Experiences of Sex Workers and Clients bespreekt de wetgeving van verschillende landen, en hoe die wordt nageleefd. Ook wordt empirisch onderzoek onder klanten gepresenteerd. Het boek bepleit meer aandacht voor de feiten en minder ideologie. De kwetsbaarheid van mensen die het risico lopen slachtoffer te worden van mensenhandel moet eerder worden herkend. Vooral jonge vrouwen uit andere landen moeten worden gewaarschuwd voor mooie beloftes over werk in West-Europa, waar hen vaak zwaar, slecht betaald en onvrij werk wacht, soms zelfs gepaard met geweld.
