Many PhD candidates in criminology work on the edges of different disciplines: social sciences, humanities, and even natural sciences. Across different institutions they have common needs and interests. By bringing them together, we hope to help them broaden their networks and educational opportunities.
This second edition of the PhDs in Criminology network event takes place on February 6, 2025 (14:00-17:00) at the NSCR in Amsterdam. The event is intended for PhD candidates from all disciplines (e.g., criminology, sociology, psychology) who work on research related to crime, criminal justice, law enforcement or interventions for criminal-justice involved individuals, at Dutch universities, research institutes or other organizations.
Please join us for engaging talks and discussions about transparent research practices (by Isabelle van der Vegt, Utrecht University) and about personal experiences of doing a PhD trajectory (by Robin Kranendonk, NSCR). There will be room for exchanging ideas about PhD courses and other activities, and for meeting old and new friends.
The event is free of charge, but please register by filling out this form. Registration closes on Thursday January 23 at 17:00.
Thursday February 6, 2025, De Boelelaan 1077, Amsterdam. See route description. The NSCR is based on the third floor.
