Introduction

This privacy statement is specifically intended for visitors to the website of the Netherlands Institute for the Study of Crime and Law Enforcement (NSCR), www.nscr.nl. At www.nscr.nl, we generally do not collect personal data. We do not place cookies when you visit our website, unless, for example, you listen to a podcast via a specific NSCR webpage. Your Email Address for the Newsletter

You can sign up for the NSCR’s monthly newsletter via this website. We use your email address solely to send you our newsletter, for which you have given consent upon signing up. We store your email address on our mailing list, which is stored in the Netherlands. Once you unsubscribe, we remove your email address from our mailing list. You can unsubscribe via the link at the bottom of each newsletter.

You can exercise these rights by sending a request to privacy@nscr.nl. When you submit a request, we want to be sure that it is really you. To verify your identity, we may ask you some additional questions. Your request will be processed as quickly as possible, and at the latest within one month.

If you are dissatisfied with how the NSCR processes your personal data, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens). You can also contact the Data Protection Officer to ask a question or file a complaint. This can be done via fg@nwo.nl.
